Turmeric: The medicinal properties of turmeric have been well documented from ancient times. Grind half a teaspoon of turmeric and mix it into a quarter of a cup of whole milk. Use this as a face mask Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse Turmeric is known to reduce pigmentation, add glow to skin. It has anti-oxidant properties that help reduce skin rashes and swelling of minor cuts and bruises. It eases burning and fights infection. Use it as a daily body scrub to see it work its magic. To make this scrub, mix a little turmeric with ground gram flour. Leave it on for a while and rinse. You could also try using lemon juice or cucumber with turmeric to reduce tan and acne.

Castor oil: Castor oil will help you reduce acne and give you a wrinkle free and youthful skin. It helps break the scar tissue and prevents new scars from appearing. It thickens eyelashes and eyebrows, soothes shingles, does away age spots and stretch marks and reduces skin infections. Take a few drops of Castor oil and apply it evenly on your face. Massage it for a few minutes. Use baking soda to completely remove the oil from your skin once you’re done with the massage.

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera is rich in vitamin E, minerals, amino acids and enzymes. It acts as a moisturizer for skin. Aloe helps clear your blood stream and reduces Pimples, under eye dark circles and loss of hair. It effectively clears the digestive system and would give you clearer skin. It also reduces sunburn, accidental burn, acne, insect bites and cuts. It isn’t just called the miracle plant for no reason!

Cucumber: Cucumber does wonders for the skin and eyes. The skin and cucumber share the same level of hydrogen which makes it the ideal solution to all skin problems. It soothes and softens the skin in no time. Known for its Cooling effect, it is a magical remedy for several skin issues. It helps in the Cleaning and cleansing of the skin. Blend four-five leaves of fresh mint, peel and deseed a cucumber. Make a puree of mint leaves and cucumber. Beat an egg white and add this to the mixture. Use this as a face mask and rinse it after 20 minutes. Cucumber will help your skin feel rejuvenated.

Almond oil: Almond oil is best known to prevent dry skin. It also helps reduce irritation, itching and inflammations. It slows down the aging process by reducing wrinkles. It helps reduce dark circles. Almond oil is rich in Vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, zinc and minerals which makes it a good home remedy not only for your skin problems but also for your hair problems. It acts as a Moisturiser, anti-aging agent and massage oil. Rub a few drops of oil on the skin in slow circular for a few minutes. It is best to apply almond oil on damp and clean skin to avoid impurities from being absorbed into your skin. Organic almond oil can be used twice a day and is known to be highly nutritious.
